The students of the International Relations Club from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Yalova University conducted a field trip to the Yalova Customs Directorate on October 25, 2024. The trip, coordinated by Research Assistant Seçkin Arpalıer from the Department of International Relations, featured detailed briefings provided by the Director of Yalova Customs, Ali İhsan Bilgetürk, and his team.
The information shared during the visit covered various topics, including the operation of the Yalova Customs Directorate, the processes related to goods handled at customs, procedures for intercepting smuggled goods, customs regimes and regulations, types of containers, diversity of exported products, the status of vessels at the port, and export activities conducted through Yalova Customs. Additionally, students were informed about internship opportunities and various career prospects.
This field trip provided participating students with the opportunity to observe customs procedures on-site and gain practical insights into the industry, while also contributing to their future career planning.
