Orientation Meeting of the International Relations Department at Yalova University Held
The orientation meeting organized by the International Relations Department of Yalova University in preparation for the new academic year was held on October 1st at 13:00 in room 308. The event was attended by our Dean and faculty members, providing general information about the department. New students were informed in detail about both the academic structure of the department and the opportunities offered by the university.
The meeting started with the opening speech of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Taner TATAR, and continued with the speech of the Head of the International Relations Department, Prof. Dr. Zelha ALTINKAYA. The Vice Chair of our department, Dr. Haluk DOĞAN, delivered a comprehensive presentation on our department. During the meeting, the history, present, and importance of the International Relations were discussed, and information was provided about the department’s curriculum, academic staff, and the social opportunities available to students. Furthermore, details about student clubs, activities, and students’ rights and responsibilities in the academic process were highlighted.
After the orientation, students had the opportunity to ask questions and meet the faculty members personally. This event was an important step in facilitating the adaptation of our new students to university life.
